All rooms are of the highest
standard; with beautiful period furnishings, private bathrooms
and beverage facilities as well as comfort, warmth and exceptional
views.
Breakfast is taken in the dining room overlooking the grounds.
You can enjoy a full English breakfast or a lighter Continental
choice. Whatever your selection, it will be freshly prepared
using (wherever possible) local ingredients. Please do let
us know in advance if you have any special dietary needs so
that we can do our very best for you.
Outside, as well as the two lakes and assorted wildlife,
we also have a hard surface tennis court with lights. Although,
simply strolling within the seven acres is pleasure enough.
The adjacent Norman church is worth visiting for the architecture
and historic period it represents. Also worthy of note are
the nearby towns of Great Dunmow, and it's near neighbour,
Little Dunmow; small market towns offering quaint shops, restaurants
and friendly locals. Great Dunmow was once a Roman settlement,
its main trade was wool which helped to establish it as an
important market centre. Today the town is a traditional market
town with historic buildings and shopping in the High Street.
