Welcome to Garnish Hall.
Our aim is to provide the perfect environment for your pleasure
and relaxation. Garnish Hall (owned by the Earl de Vere in
1329) is a fourteenth-century manor house which was once moated.
Today the house stands in seven superb acres of lovely grounds,
including two fish filled lakes, with literally 100’s
of fish, including some carp.
The setting not only reveals nature at her best, but also
English heritage in all its many guises and finery. Alongside
Garnish Hall is a beautiful Norman Church and the grounds
themselves include an Elizabethan walled garden where black
swans, geese and ducks wander freely; depicting a scene that
has been re-enacted for centuries.
The surrounding area offers a wealth of treats for those
who enjoy history and nature as well as easy access to visitor
attractions and tourist destinations. We are at the heart
of Essex with Epping Forest, Colchester Zoo, Stansted Airport
as well as golf clubs, fine restaurants, museums and historic
buildings all within easy reach.
Throughout Garnish Hall, you will discover the glorious past
through original period pieces, art and décor. The
guest rooms are comfortable, well decorated and with fine
views. The authenticity of the heritage is blended seamlessly
with modern conveniences like en-suite bathrooms, beverage
facilities and everything you have come to expect from a quality
establishment.
Whether you are seeking a rural retreat in which to unwind,
a superb location for a marquee wedding reception or a base
from which to explore the area, Garnish Hall promises to be
the right choice. We look forward to welcoming you to the
Hall. |
